When teaching, I usually combine
instruction in field photography and image processing. We usually
begin with an early morning field trip, often to scenic Maroon
Lake or The Grottos on the Roaring Fork River near Aspen. After
lunch, we download and work with the images in the digital darkroom.
My teaching
system is
aimed at creating an effective digital workflow for beginning and
intermediate photographers.
On July 27-31, 2009 I will be giving a Field
and Photoshop workshop at Anderson Ranch Arts Center at
Snowmass, CO
I am also enthusiastic about laptop image processing which
allows workshop participants to meet at travel destinations.
I often do this at Canyonlands and Arches National Parks in Utah.
Much of my teaching in 2008 - 2009 has been with small groups
or individuals working on their own computers.
