When teaching, I usually combine instruction in field photography and image processing. We usually begin with an early morning field trip, often to scenic Maroon Lake or The Grottos on the Roaring Fork River near Aspen. After lunch, we download and work with the images in the digital darkroom. My teaching system is aimed at creating an effective digital workflow for beginning and intermediate photographers.
I enjoy teaching/guiding in this spectacular part of the Rockies with easily accessed shooting locations between 8000' - 12000'. We can work in dense Aspen forests and a 120 year old ghost town, then go up to treeless alpine tundra in the same morning. I'm familiar with the best times and picture possibilites for each site, so we can make the best use of your time.
